Patterns for real pegboards
The shaped boards in the app are measured from real boards, so every bead on the screen sits where it belongs on the table. Here are the boards, how many pegs they have and how many patterns there are for each.

Count the pegs on your own board
-
The square: count one edge
Counting the pegs along two edges is enough. The small square in the app has 14 across and 14 down, the large one 30.
-
Shaped boards: row by row
A cat or a duck has no straight edge. Count one row at a time and put a bead on each counted peg, so you do not lose your place.
-
Compare with the app
If the numbers match, the patterns fit as they are. If your square has more pegs, the square patterns still work, with an empty border around them.
Your own patterns on the same boards
The drawing board has every board. How kids draw their own patterns, or browse the ready-made patterns.
